Here's a great quote from Skip Gladstone:
"John, we were running late. We didn't start the engine until we were in the starting lanes. It was one of the hottest days of the year. Scott pulled up to the starting line and when he left, I knew the car was on the best pass ever. The result: we set the national record on that day. Thanks..."
That was Crew Chief/Tuner Skip Gladstone speaking of Owner/Driver Scott MacKay on Sept. 9, 2005 when they set the national record with a 7.44 ET and 177.04 MPH. They had a Bob Kaiser engine equipped with dAM carbs.
